The huge size of the field also gives a chance for the players to be creativeand for the spectators to look on in awe.
People can express themselves through football. And it’s quite easy to learnand play the sport: you need only a ball.
Whilst in European counties people have always been aware of football’s powerto make supporters react in such an intense and passionate way, this was thefirst time for the Chinese public to see such a response. The May 19 incidentironically had the effect of drawing more fans to the games rather than turningthem away.
